Come along to our Get Into Business event to find out what it’s like to study a business course at De Broc School of Business with this interactive taster day.

What is Get Into Business?
This is a day packed full of activities to give you an insight into business and the courses on offer at De Broc School of Business. Find out more about the pathway options you can choose from to help you achieve your career ambitions. You’ll have the chance to develop your business skills, learn more about the key areas of business, and meet other students who are thinking of studying a business course too.

What will the day involve?

Learn more about De Broc School of Business
The day will begin with a welcome to De Broc School of Business, you’ll get to learn more about the courses on offer and what it’s like to be a De Broc student. We are part of The University of Law, an institution with over 100 years’ experience in training lawyers, so you’ll get to understand how this expertise in training career ready professionals will benefit you as a De Broc student.

Learn about what business is
You’ll be introduced to the many specialist areas the subject of business covers. At De Broc, you can study one of our pathway options, choose from: Finance, Marketing or Human Resource Management. There will be an interactive session including:

  • What is business
  • The definition of a brand
  • The role of advertising and how it increases brand awareness

Business activity
You’ll leave Get Into Business with the tools you need to think more strategically. During the business activity you’ll develop your skills in teamwork, negotiation, analysis and problem solving. You’ll also gain an insight into the different aspects of business including marketing, human resources and management.

Meet other students
You’ll spend the day with other students who could be your future class mates. This is your chance to get to know them and their future business ambitions.
