Undergraduate Admissions

To apply for Grenoble BIB Year 3, candidates must complete the online application, which can be accessed via many browsers including Google Chrome, and Firefox. You will need to include scanned copies of all original supporting documents. 

All documents must be in English, or be submitted with a certified translation into English if written in another language.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Transcripts (front / back with scale): certified copies of all documents must be sent by regular mail directly from the institution
  • CV / Résumé
  • Scan of passport
  • Internationally recognised passport picture
  • Where English is not your first language, fluency in English is required (TOEFL, PTE, IELTS or CPE):
    - TOEFL: IBT: 94 (minimum score of 22 in each band)
    - IELTS: 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in all areas (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking)
    - Cambridge Proficiency Exam: A,B,C
    - Pearson Test of English (PTE) with a minimum of 63
    - TOEIC is not accepted
  • Please note English test scores must be communicated by the beginning of July

Please note that for your initial application we ask only for copies of documents. If you are accepted to a programme, we will then request the original certificates or certified copies. This request will be made in your acceptance letter.

You may be asked to participate in an interview. You will be notified if an interview is necessary after the Admission Board meets.

Visa Information

You will need a Certificate of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from us before you can apply for your visa. To receive your CAS and for the University to sponsor your application, you will need to:

  • Meet our academic requirements
  • Meet the Home Office requirements
  • Pay the first instalment of your Year 1 course fees
  • Submit copies of your bank statements (if applicable).

We strongly recommend that you pay your first instalment four weeks before the beginning of the course, as visa applications can take some time to process.

Proof of English

To receive a CAS you must provide evidence of your English language skills unless you’re a national from one of the following countries:  Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, United States of America and United Kingdom. Please also be aware that in some circumstances, we may still request evidence of your English proficiency before or during your programme.

If you are from a non-majority English speaking country and don’t have the equivalent of a UK degree taught in a majority English speaking country (excluding Canada), you must send us a copy of an approved English Language Test at or above the levels outlined below.

SE III (Trinity College London) Pass in all four components
Pearsons (academic) Score of 59 with no one component below 51
Cambridge English: First Certificate, Advanced and Proficiency (tests taken from January 2015) Overall 176 with no one component below 169
Cambridge English: First Certificate (test taken before January 2015) Pass at Grade A and Exceptional in all four components
Cambridge English: Advanced (test taken before January 2015) Pass at Grade B or C and Borderline in all four components
Cambridge English: Proficiency (test taken before January 2015) Pass at Grade C1 and Weak in all four components
Postgraduate Admissions

All documents must be in English, or be submitted with a certified translation into English if written in another language.

  • CV/Résumé
  • 3 short essays
  • 2 references (professional or academic) family members or friends are not acceptable as referees
  • Scan of passport
  • Internationally recognised passport picture
  • Where English is not your first language, fluency in English is required (TOEFL, PTE, IELTS or CPE):
    - TOEFL: IBT: 94 (minimum score of 22 in each band)
    - IELTS: 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in all areas (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking)
    - Cambridge Proficiency Exam: A,B,C
    - Pearson Test of English (PTE) with a minimum of 63
    - TOEIC is not accepted

Important informationa about Visas

GEM courses are not eligible for Tier 4 sponsorship under the Point Based System. Non EEA nationals with the existing visas should contact The International Visa Office team on +44 (0)1483 216588 or e-mail visaoffice@law.ac.uk to find out if they are eligible to join the course.
